According to reports from Canalys and Counterpoint, Apple dominated global smartphone sales in 2024, with the iPhone 15 alone accounting for nearly 3% of the company’s total shipments. The smartphone’s massive popularity was primarily driven by strong sales in the US and China, which contributed to almost half of its global sales.
Beyond the iPhone 15, Apple had seven models in the top 10 list of best-selling smartphones, including the iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and even the older iPhone 13.

The top three best-selling smartphones were Apple’s:
