Tesla has taken another significant step in strengthening its presence in the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market. The company has officially opened its first Experience Centre in Delhi, located in Worldmark 3, Aerocity. This marks Tesla’s second showroom in India after the recent launch of its Mumbai Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) centre. Alongside premium vehicle displays, the facility offers on-site V4 Superchargers—a move that promises faster, more convenient EV charging for customers.
A Strategic Location for the Capital’s First Tesla Showroom
The newly launched Delhi showroom spans nearly 8,200 square feet and sits at a prime location near the Indira Gandhi International Airport and key embassy areas. Much like its Mumbai counterpart, the premium placement reinforces Tesla’s focus on attracting high-value customers and offering convenient accessibility for prospective buyers. Visitors can experience Tesla vehicles up close, explore features in detail, and book their preferred configurations directly at the showroom.
V4 Superchargers Arrive in Delhi
A highlight of the Aerocity centre is the installation of four Tesla V4 Superchargers, enabling rapid on-site charging. These state-of-the-art chargers can deliver speeds of up to 350 kW, allowing a Tesla Model Y to regain approximately 250–300 km of range in just 15 minutes, depending on conditions.
The new V4 units feature longer 3-metre cables to support various parking layouts, improved charging efficiency, and compatibility with future Tesla models. Integrated with Tesla’s navigation system, they offer smart route planning with charging stops, and real-time monitoring via the Tesla mobile app.
Plans for Wider Service Network
During the inauguration, Tesla outlined its plans for expanding after-sales support in India. The upcoming strategy includes:
Mobile Service for minor repairs at customers’ homes
Remote diagnostics for resolving software-related issues
Dedicated service centres for comprehensive maintenance
Tesla-approved third-party collision repair facilities
Additionally, Tesla will install three more Supercharger stations in the Delhi-NCR region, including one at the DLF Horizon Centre.
Tesla Model Y – The First Offering in India
Currently, Tesla’s India lineup includes just one model—the Model Y. Pricing starts at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the rear-wheel drive variant, while the Long Range RWD is priced at ₹67.89 lakh. Deliveries are expected to begin in Q3 2025.
The standard configuration includes a Stealth Grey exterior with a black interior at no extra cost. Other exterior colours are available for ₹95,000 to ₹1.85 lakh, and a white interior option costs an additional ₹95,000. Currently, purchases and registrations are open in Delhi, Gurugram, and Mumbai.
What Makes Tesla’s Supercharger Network Stand Out?
Tesla’s Supercharger network is one of the fastest and most efficient EV charging infrastructures in the world. The latest V4 technology offers:
Ultra-fast charging up to 350 kW
Extended cable reach for better compatibility
Enhanced efficiency for reduced charging times
Navigation-linked planning to optimize charging stops
This level of convenience and performance sets Tesla apart in India’s growing EV market.
Conclusion
Tesla’s new Delhi showroom and V4 Supercharger installation mark a pivotal moment in the company’s India journey. By combining premium retail experiences with cutting-edge charging technology and an expanding service network, Tesla is positioning itself to capture a larger share of India’s luxury EV market. With the Model Y leading the charge, and more infrastructure on the horizon, Indian EV buyers now have faster, smarter, and more convenient options than ever before.
